Main Title

Main Subtitle

This section will be the introduction to the article and should outline what the reader can expect to learn in the rest of the article. It should be clear and nicely structured – it is after the first thing the reader will see. We want to encourage the reader to continue reading through the article. The longer they spend reading, the more likely it is they will convert into a paying customer! The text size should be the standard size i.e. 15px and line height 26px. This can be verified using WhatFont.

It isn’t necessary to link this section to the Inhaltsverzeichnis, as it is an introduction and the reader will see it straight away. This is an important point, because the table of content only looks good when there aren’t too many headings in it!

This is a scyscraper

Text should be neatly wrapped around images. This may involve using spacers or minus spacers. For example, a 8px Spacer has been used above the image and a -40px Spacer has been used to reduce the gap between this text box and the image. The spacers required will vary according to the size and shape of the image you choose to include. Under this introductory section, please use a separator to separate it from the rest of the article. The separator line should have a 50px bottom margin.

This section will be the first section after the introduction. As you can see, there should ideally be a second photo, this time on the left. Please make sure the text is aligned well with the image. This will involved spacers and minus spacers, and sometimes even require you to resize the widget, as is the case here (the photo widget is set to 30% and the text widget to 70%).

Make sure you use appropriate Alt Tags for ALL images. This is useful for SEO purposes. The Alt Tags should be written in gramatically correct German and should include the keyword / focus word of the article in a rewritten form.

This section will be the first to be linked to the table of contents. As you will see, the colour of the heading in the table of contents will change colour as you scroll through the relevant section. You don’t need to use a bottom margin here.

This section should be in grey to distinguish it from the previous white sections. The code that we use for this is: #f1f0eb. Please note that a 20px spacer is used here above the title. The title should be linked to the table of contents.

  • This is a standard arrow list
  • It has the class "arrowed-list"
  • It should be used for general bullet points, i.e. to outline exceptions in an accountancy case.

praxistipp-heading

This is ourTip/Clue/Hint box, it is used to give the reader useful information to supplement the content. Putting it in this box helps the content to stand out. One potential layout would be fullscreen, as shown here. Take note of the 50px bottom margin used as there is a grey background.

This section should be in white to distinguish it from the previous grey background. You don’t need a bottom margin.
Here we have a numbered list:

  • 1 numbered-list
  • 2 A new class needs to be defined that automatically aligns text and gives correct font size.
  • 3 Numbered lists should not contain the headings h3.
  • 4 There is an issue with the coding here.

  • 6 Numbered lists should not contain the headings h3.

This is the email section. Please define a new class for the title and for the text. It should appear roughly halfway through the text section of the article. You want trhe reader to see it before they exit the page. Please note the spacers that are used in this section (10px above and -60px below).

This is an example of a section that has multiple subheadings. The subheadings should not be linked to the table of contents.

Here is another example of a clue/tip/hint box. Please make sure it is logcially linked to the heading/subheading that it refers to. Make sure it aligns well with the text. This may involve changing the widget size or using spacers.

  • Factor 1: A new class needs to be defined for the tick list
  • Factor 2: The tick list is used as a checklist, or lists of positive things, such as solution 1, solution 2 etc.
  • Factor 3: Try and be consistent with use of checklists

Underneath you will see the “download resources” banner. This should be full screen. Please not the 50px bottom margin used here. The button will trigger a PDF download in a NEW window of the relevant resource. This could be, for example, a checklist of items like above. Don’t use a bottom margin here.
